Bronson Leo Limkemann

As most of you have read previously, my sister was blessed with a miracle baby last summer. (If you haven’t, you can read the story here.) Bronson has been such a blessing to our family in the last year. Unfortunately, his little body succumbed to his illness last Sunday, June 7th, 2009 at 7:05 pm.

I won’t go into the two week long story, but suffice to say that Beth and Joey had to make a really hard and unselfish decision and I am so proud of their bravery.

I want to post a few photos because I, of course, cannot write a blog post without them. . .

These first two are my favorite images from Easter that I never blogged. I’ve really learned how important our job is. We capture these moments in people’s lives and we don’t always realize how important each and every moment is.

Bronson was in the hospital for a few days a couple of weeks ago. Adam and I drove Katheryn down to spend some time with him and she drew a family picture on the way. She wrote this message on the back:

Not only is it super sweet, but she wrote it all by herself. She didn’t ask us to spell anything. She is so smart and I know that she is the only thing keeping Beth going.

This final image is one of the last pictures taken of Bronson. I took it from my iPhone so it’s not the best quality, but I think it is really sweet. Joey had taken Bronson for a walk in his stroller because he hadn’t been out of the house in a few days, then he put him in the window to sleep in the sun.

I wasn’t going to post anything about this, but I decided to for two reasons. First, we have had a lot of our current and past clients frequently ask about Bronson, so we wanted to let them in on the situation. Secondly, we are a couple of weddings behind on blogging. We try hard to get these weddings blogged within the week after the wedding, but that hasn’t been possible lately. Please bear with us as we get caught up on the blog and editing wedding and bridal images.

We have the best clients and we thank you all for your support and understanding during this difficult situation.
