Below are some of the most common questions we receive. We even managed to answer them!
Who will be photographing my wedding?
Each of our packages includes both Adam and Cyndi to document your wedding day. We work better as a team and believe you get the best coverage with two photographers.
How long have you been photographers?
We are beginning our fifth wedding season and loving every minute of it! We’ve done about 100 weddings and average 20 a year.
What is your style?
Our style is a mix of photojournalism and fashion photography. For the most part, we try to be very inconspicuous during your wedding day, capturing the moments as they unfold. Our portraits last about 30 minutes on the wedding day to keep things moving.
Do you travel?
Absolutely! We love to travel and actually don’t charge travel fees for weddings in Arkansas or within 200 miles of Rogers (that gets you Tulsa and Kansas City!). If you are out of the state or the 200 mile radius, we charge actual travel fees, meaning we don’t make anything off of the travel charge. It doesn’t matter where you’re getting married… we would love to photograph it for you!
What kind of equipment do you use?
We use professional Canon digital cameras with a bag full of lenses. We have backups of everything to make sure we are able to get “the” shot.
Do you use flash during the ceremony?
No. We feel it disrupts the ceremony and annoys the guests. Also, most churches don’t allow flash photography during the ceremony, so we are one step ahead!
Do you recommend we see each other before the ceremony?
This is definitely a personal preference. We are comfortable with either decision, but do find that when our couples see each other before the ceremony, the day seems a lot less tense. We are able to get most, if not all, of the portraits done and you are able to go from the ceremony directly to the reception. If you decide to see each other beforehand, we can arrange a “first look” moment between you two. This would give you a chance to say things to each other that you probably couldn’t in front of hundreds of people.
How do you handle staying extra hours on the wedding day?
At the end of our scheduled time, we will approach you and inform you of our scheduled departure and ask if there are any other photos you want us to be sure and get. If you would like us to stay later than our scheduled time, we would be more than happy to at our rate of $250 per hour. We will invoice you after the wedding.
Do you belong to any professional organizations?
We are members of the PPA (Professional Photographers of America) and the Digital Wedding Forum.
Why do you insist on us getting an engagement session?
The engagement session is a chance for you to see how we work and get some great pictures too! It is a way for us to get to know each other better and have a super fun time. We feel it’s so important, we include an engagement session in each of our wedding packages. For some tips on what to wear, click here.
What is the post-wedding timeline?
Within two weeks after your wedding, your images will appear on the website. Your images will be posted in your online gallery within six weeks following your wedding. At that time, your disc of hi-res images will be mailed to you. Around two months after your wedding, you can expect an email with a preliminary album design and instructions on what to do next. This would include picking out cover fabric or leather colors and a front cameo image if wanted. After your album is approved, you should expect it within a month.
