Last Saturday, Cyndi and I headed North to Lamar, Missouri where we photographed Joni and Matt’s wedding at the First Baptist Church. Apparently, the night before, it rained extremely hard and ruined Joni’s plans of an outdoor reception across the street in the park. Driving up on Highway 71, we noticed a lot of side roads closed because the water covered them! The day ended up being gorgeous and it seemed Joni and Matt didn’t let the flood deter their fun! Here are a few of our favorite shots…

Unfortunately, while we were getting ready to leave, Joni’s handkerchief fell into the water. Matt was a trooper and did what any husband would do…
At the reception, they had a table set up where all four sets of grandparents and both sets of parents shared their favorite cookie recipe (as well as some cookies!) with the guests. It was a really neat idea!
Oh, the birdseed! It was everywhere!!!
